At a certain point I created a spoof of the show, with the help of my wife, which I then mailed in on cassette. Amazingly (or not so amazingly when we consider how much time they had to fill every day), Steve and company actually played it on the air, and I got to phone in live and kid around with them a bit.Jonathan Caws-Elwitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04073091319875718935noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5550868480663112358.post-70036104620055199922021-12-30T10:35:51.637-05:002021-12-30T10:35:51.637-05:00Been looking around for information on this radio ...Been looking around for information on this radio show. I was a big fan at the outset, and used it to get through a few hours of a crappy job. You're right, the magic dissipated once they became syndicated. But any time both Herb Sargent and Bob Einstein were on with Steve, it was as smart and funny as any radio I ever heard.

Who was the guy who was on the early shows (was he a band leader or something?) who had this incredibly infectious laugh?

Anyway, thank you for posting this and for making the links available. Very cool.michael gavaghenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00209555723658389015noreply@blogger.com
