I, too...Your summing up of Monda Kim's is perfect. I, too, have somewhat mixed feelings about the place closing. The staff couldn't have been more insufferable if they tried (ah, trust funds). But their wares were extremely rare, if not unique. This is another example of New York becoming that much less New York-like. Overall, a total bummer.
